We have regular “Second Tuesday of the Month” events, plus other events and productions. You don’t usually need to be a member. Unless otherwise shown all our activities are for adults 18 and over.

Most events (workshops, readings etc.) are free to members and only £3 to others at the door (usually no need to book).
Our auditions are free to all (no need to book).
Our performances are ticketed, with concessions for members and certain others, and are subject to licence. Advance booking advised.
For courses there will be a small fee, and booking is usually required.

6, 8, 10 June: AUDITIONS for Hamlet off the Street  

Our specially adapted and abridged version of Shakespeare’s Hamlet is accessible to all. You don’t have to have acted Shakespeare before. Just come along to one of these Free and friendly sessions:

Wednesday 6 June 7pm to 9pm or

Friday 8 June 7pm to 9pm or

Sunday 10 June 3 pm to 5pm

We have a very busy June with performances and our AGM (see below) so there’s no second Tuesday event this month. Please come to a show and the AGM.

Agatha Crusty & The Village Hall Murders

Agatha Crusty (pronounced Croosty) is a crime novelist, adept at solving crimes. And when her sister-in-law Alice invites her to spend a few days with her in the village, it's not long before she gets caught up in a series of murders which seem directed at members of the Village Hall committee.

28 June: Annual General Meeting

Our regular annual meeting as required by our constitution to review the past year, elect our committee and look forward to the coming year. Once the formal part is over we can talk about future plans for productions, events and other activities. The official notice is here.

Meeting starts 8pm, doors 7.30pm
At the Horse & Groom. FREE.

10 July: Workshop - Blood & Gore

A practical workshop on use of stage effects such as fake blood. Led by David Harvey. Could be messy!

14 August: Play reading - Sisters in the Snow

The first UK reading of American playwright Holly Johnson's work inspired by the painting Hunters in the Snow by Peter Bruegel.

We have run a number of weekly courses including writing, directing and acting. We don’t have any scheduled at the moment, but STC members can get a 10% discount on certain courses run by CLIPtheatre, led by Mhairi Grealis (who has led our courses). Details are here.
