We are offering this great opportunity to our members, with
places available to members of other local theatre groups too.
You would have to join STC to take part, but it’s only £10 for a
full year, and there’s no further obligation.

Led by trained professional Mhairi Grealis, this 6 week course for
beginners will look at aspects of the craft of directing for stage:
from working with actors to making things look good on stage.

Whether you’re an aspiring director or just curious, this course
will not only offer unique insights into how stories are brought
to life but give you skills that range from textual analysis for
performance, to communicating effectively with the technical
team (sound, lighting, costume), and managing the project that
is putting on a show.

There may be an opportunity to direct short plays, including
from our Streatham Shorts programme, at a showcase in
November/December.

If you are not a member, Membership is only £10 per annum.

Course Prices: £10 per session, or £50 for all 6 sessions, lowering
to £40 if paid at or before the start of the first lesson.
