Barbara Lee, local author and Streatham Theatre Company member, will be reading extracts from her new novel, A Long Time Dead.

Human remains are recovered from the back garden of a house in Tooting. Reading a newspaper account of the discovery, Scarlett Green is shocked to realise that, as a teenager just out of local authority care, she lived in the house at around the time the body was buried. Her curiosity aroused, she decides to find out what she can about the victim and the murderer.

Can she find out enough to satisfy her curiosity without putting herself and those she cares about at risk?
