Performance Poetry / Limerick Writing Challenge

Poetry, Second Tuesday Event

Do you have a favourite poem you’d like to recite?
Would you like to share a poem of your own?

It can be comic, romantic, serious, rhyming or unrhymed, contemporary or historic, in the language of your choice.

Join us and share with friends.

The second part of the evening will be a limerick-writing challenge in the style of Edward Lear.

Can you write a new contemporary Limerick? Why not have a go?

Here’s the format:

There was an Old person of Tring
Who embellished his nose with a ring
He gazed at the Moon,
every evening in June
That ecstatic Old Person of Tring
