Invitation to writers
Ever thought about writing and directing a play, comedy sketch
or monologue? Do you already have a piece that has never been
aired?

STC is inviting submissions for STREATHAM SHORTS; an evening
of short performances written and directed by new writers.
Suitable pieces may be nominated to go forward for a public
performance. Submissions (10 minutes maximum run-time)
should be submitted no later than Monday 1st August 2016 by e
mail to info@streathamtheatre.org.uk titled ‘Streatham
Shorts.’ Shortlisted pieces will be read at our “Second Tuesday
workshop” on 13 September at 7.30pm. Selected writers will be
notified and should ideally be available to present their piece.

Invitation to workshop participants
This informal evening will involve a critical reading of several
short-listed pieces by STC members. It will give writers a
chance to hear the script come to life. Come along to read, act
or simply listen. Bring your experience and feedback as an
audience member, actor, director or stage manager to help
writers improve the plot or characterisation and to consider
practical aspects of future performance. Will STC find a
selection of new short plays to perform?
