Chrissy Bright will share stories from her varied career as a dresser and in the wig room in the West End and in Panto.

Chrissy’s love of theatre began at the age of 15 when she joined Croydon Stagers Operatic and Dramatic Society. She was with them for 64 years, until they ceased in 2017; their last show being Sister Act at the Ashcroft Theatre in Croydon. Chrissy started working in the professional theatre aged 19, quite by chance, as a dresser, swing dresser and wig assistant, initially whilst also working full-time for ICI. She subsequently left ICI to work for Stewart Films, then The London Film School.  Chrissy is also a qualified make-up artist and ran a costume hire company part-time with a partner for 8 years, which they subsequently sold. Chrissy is now retired but still runs her own wig company Bright’s Barnets, which she has run since she was 19.
