About Jo
Jo is returning to STC’s Second Tuesday events by popular demand. She lives in Streatham and is an aspiring comic, director and writer. Jo has performed alongside the likes of Sara Pascoe,
Arthur Smith and Jack Whitehall. Although she is currently concentrating more on writing,, her stand-up repertoire includes appearances at Edinburgh and at several local stand-up comedy nights, including Clapham Comedy Club, The Railway and Streatham Festival gigs.
About the workshop
Are you a bit of a show-off? This informal workshop will give you chance to have a go at stand-up in front of a friendly audience.
Alternatively you may want to hone your skills and develop your style. Jo will share her insights and feedback on what makes a great stand-up routine and how to prepare for your first gig.

UPDATE
Joining Jo at the workshop will be Joe Haddad, a local Streatham writer and performer who first met Jo as an eager university student, keen to try comedy, at Jo’s workshop in 2015! He has now got his own semi autobiographical solo show PalesTEENian at Riverside Studios from 27th July to 2nd August, exploring his life growing up Palestinian in the UK and as a stand-up comedian, and is happy to share his experiences of life on the stand-up circuit.
