If you fancy having a go at designing a set for a production, or you would just like to explore the principles of set design, this is masterclass is for you.
This masterclass will give you the chance to design a stage set concept for a given play. By taking 1 play and 2 different theatre venues, you will explore the creative opportunities and challenges of set design. We will be considering the set design from the point of view of the actors, audience and crew, whilst taking account of health and safety and risk management.
Helen is an actor/ director with over 25 years experience of designing sets for amateur, community and fringe theatre. Trained in theatre design (London Theatre Museum) and interior design (Morley College), her set designs include staging for Harvey, Humble Boy, Pack of Lies, Yerma, The Clink, Breaking the Code and Blithe Spirit.
Bring your on-stage, off-stage and audience experience to this workshop for a fun evening with a practical result.
