About Bronia
Bronia is an experienced storyteller working in the oral
tradition. In 2006, she co-founded the storytelling company
ONE MOMENT IN TIME; specialising in work for children and
young people. Organisations she has worked with include the
Lyric Theatre, the Pop-Up Festival of Stories, Historic Royal
Palaces, Manchester Literary Festival and Little Angel Theatre.
Bronia is a graduate of the International School of Storytelling
and holds a BA in Theatre and English Literature.
About the workshop
Through a series of games and exercises we will explore some
of the fundamental techniques for breathing life into a story.
Using voice, text and gesture you will work with a short
folktale; seeing it taking shape and exploring ways to
captivate your listeners. Whilst the workshop material is based
on traditional folk stories, the skills you will learn can be
applied to other forms of storytelling; such as historical
stories, autobiographical material and contemporary
fiction. All storytelling material provided. Just turn up.
