Description:
Invitation to writers
Ever thought about writing and directing a play, comedy sketch r monologue? Do you already have a piece that has never been aired?
STC is inviting submissions for STREATHAM SHORTS; an evening of short performances written and directed by new writers. Suitable pieces may be nominated to go forward for a public performance. Submissions (10 minutes maximum run-time) should be submitted no later than Monday 20 August 2018 by email to info@streathamtheatre.org.uk titled ‘Streatham
Shorts’. Shortlisted pieces will be read at our “Second Tuesday workshop” on 11th September at 7.30pm. Selected writers will be notified and should ideally be available to present their piece.
Invitation to workshop participants
Following our success last year, we are repeating this event. This informal evening will give writers a chance to hear their script come to life. Come along to read, act or simply listen. Bring your experience and feedback as an audience member, actor, director or stage manager to help writers improve the plot or characterisation and to consider practical aspects of future performance. Will STC find a selection of new short plays to perform?
